Traditional Utility Room

LOCATION

Lindfield, West Sussex, RH16

PROJECT

The client, a young family with practical needs, requested a utility room that would offer a functional and stylish space to work in. They opted for a custom-colour, traditional green scheme. The cabinetry doors are made of wood, with panelling detail and framing bead. The units include fully-built-in tall cupboards and a long run of base units to store all of their necessary cleaning and household equipment. The space also needed to include multiple types of internal storage, such as a space for services, shelves, hanging rails for coats, space for the vacuum cleaner and ironing board and practical inserts to store cleaning supplies and household tools. We managed to fulfil the brief, even including a built-in freezer with ice-maker. A solid oak worktop, terracotta, square floor tiles, double Butler sink and aged brass bridge tap were included in the design to complement the traditional aesthetics of the space.  Overall, the utility room provided the perfect solution for the family's practical needs, while also adding a touch of style to their home.
