This stunning bathroom was commissioned by a local property developer with which Parker Kitchens & Bathrooms has a long standing working relationship. Two bathrooms were designed for the property and shown is the feature bathroom.
The bathrooms were completed during a renovation of a mansion apartment close to the seafront situated on the border of Brighton and Hove. The design brief called for a beautiful room to reflect the grandeur and large proportions of the other rooms in the property- to create luxury within a commercial budget.
The design combines the old with the new, mixing a flat screen waterproof television with traditional Italian mosaic tiles and black marble. Playing on textures and providing a boutique hotel feel, the colour scheme of black, white, silver and biscuit give a sense of opulence. Super white gloss tiles contrast with the large porcelain tiles in a shade of biscuit. Pure white curved bath ware pieces were incorporated with a chrome fittings and a handset and pull-out hose for the bath.
Although it is a fairly small room, a large mirror spans one wall giving an illusion of a larger space. Drama is created by using his and hers black marble basins, accented by columns of mosaic tiles and an ornate silver framed mirror. A curved platform for the modern wash bowls was custom built and echoes the curved surround of the bath.
The final bathroom is a magnificent addition that pays homage to the scale and impressive features of the other rooms in the property and clearly fulfils this commercial design brief with some added sparkle.
